Cuvée Eline.
DOMAINE DE MAROTTE
CARPENTRAS FRANCE
Since I was a child, I had the chance to create my own labels for the wine named after me: la Cuvée Eline, by the Domaine de Marotte which is my parents’ vineyard located in the South of France. It is thanks to these first works that I have now turned towards design. I made my first sketch at the age of 3 and continued every year after that. The most recent label is from the wine of 2015 because it is aged 7 years in wooden barels.
As a product designer, I got interested in creating a bio material made from the waste produced during the process of wine making. This bio material is made of the seeds of the grapes and can find it’s place in a circular system within the winery as it’s biodegradable.
I decided to make two lamps with this bio material mixed with waste paper to add more fibers and make it stronger. These lamps can be used in different positions and are an example of how to use a waste stream to create objects that fits into our daily environments and interiors.
